The Wizarding World of Harry Potter--Diagon Alley

Looking for a place to get all your magical stuff before going to Hogwarts? Well, this is where you'll find it all. In this magical shopping district in London, you will find all of your necessary needs to go to the famous wizard school. However, unexpected things happen here. You might cast a spell, stumble upon a joke shop, or come face-to-face with a fire-breathing dragon........one that breathes actual fire!

When crossing over Tower Bridge, the 1960s becomes the 1990s as you enter a different part of London. This appears to be mostly muggle, but don't be fooled by it. Around the area are several magical traces such as the Knight Bus, Number 12, Grimmauld Place, and the entrance to the Ministry of Magic. Near the border to Pacific Port, you will find King's Cross Station, where you can ride the Hogwarts Express--King's Cross Station to Hogsmeade.
Somewhere along the place, you will find The Leaky Cauldron. Go past that and through a wall and you will enter the alley itself. Around here, you can shop at Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, Quality Quidditch Supplies, Madame Malkin's Robes for all Occasions, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, Sugarplum's Sweet Shop, Scribbulus, Magical Menagerie, Eyelops Owl Emporium, Flourish and Blott's, or for a darker twist, find Borgin and Burke's on Knockturn Alley. You can also get your wand at Ollivander's and see a wand choose a wizard. For dining, you can eat at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor or The Fountain of Fair Fortune. You can also catch live shows of The Tales of Beedle the Bard and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. At the end of the alley is Gringotts, where you can ride Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, an extended version of the original Orlando attraction, now with appearances of the Sword of Gryffindor, Helga Hufflpuff's Cup, and Vault 713, the vault that contained the Sorcerer's Stone.

I know that Diagon Alley isn't as important as a location in the books, movies, or theme parks as Hogwarts itself, but I wanted to shine more light on it. I added some locations from the books and movies that Universal may have forgotten to add the first time. This version of the alley would be much more immersive than Universal Studios Florida's original land, plus, the London area would be bigger. King's Cross would actually look more like how it did in the film with fake trains ready to depart from the station. Of course, technology is only so limited, but I'm sure that if they worked very hard, they could crack it.

  1. I love what you’ve added to this! It’s one of my favorite places, and you really did it justice. Gringotts is one of my favorite rides, so I love that you did an extended version.
